First news of the year is another show in Sweden.
Evil Masquerade will be performing at Harry's in Växjö on Friday, May 18.
It's an intimate club gig so remember to get your tickets in good time.

Henrik has written and produced the song "Let's Unite in Rock" that is performed by an All Star lineup (that includes Apollo, Thor and Artur)
to the benefin of Metal For Cancer. Everyone involved has contributed for free and 100% of the money

Why do I want the guitar? Well, the first time I listened to Evil Masquerade, it's music did precisely what great art does:
it found it's way into my nerves and made me feel every single note and word of it r...eally deep inside. The kind of music that
carries you in both light and darkness with it's might. True love tests itself soon and I knew that I could do anything for this band,
it has been sealed within my bones. Having the guitar would be a honor for me, I'd take care of it with dedication and note by note, make it sing a tribute to one of the most incredible bands I've ever listened to.” [Arlishan Marius Engelstalt-Fierhardt]
Henrik tells about it:
It has been a basically impossible task to choose the winner. There are so many aspects to consider and equally many arguments to why someone should win. I managed to narrow it down to 8 contributions – which was a hard struggle in itself. But to pick 1 of those 8 turned out to be even more difficult than I could have ever imagined. As I see it, anyone of those 8 could easily have qualified as the winner. And several of the other 100+ contributions were on a close second place. But since there can be only one, I had to be merciless and blunt. Here are the arguments for my final decision:
My first impression when I first saw this contribution posted on our Facebook page was “WOW”. And first impressions are what I have based most of my career on. I was taken by the idea to paint a 4-meter tall Evil Masquerade mask on a wall somewhere in Mexico. To begin with, it’s very difficult to make something this big. But it also shows true dedication to the band, the competition and art in general. To spend 8 hours alone on a ladder to paint this really impressed me (and the others in the band as well). And now it’s a great landmark that tells everyone passing by about Evil Masquerade and the new album. Really cool. Furthermore, since this competition was also about explaining ‘why’ you should win, I think it was really nice to read the enclosed text. It makes me feel both happy and proud knowing that our music apparently is important enough to reach people anywhere on the planet. Therefore I feel very pleased to announce Arlishan Marius Engelstalt-Fierhardt as the winner of this great Aria PE-1500 guitar – an exact copy of the instrument I have been playing forever. Congratulations!

Evil Masquerade would like to thank everyone for a fantastic year.
The new album Fade to Black was released, the band
won the prestigious JPF Music Awards (Nashville/US)
for best song writing in the metal category, more fan pages were launched
and the band was featured in several radio shows. But even though
both Henrik and Apollo have been seen on stages all around the world
- there were no live performances with Evil Masquerade. Here's a X-mas
